Shipping Policies
General Shipping
Please note that once an order has been placed, we are not able to modify or cancel your order. Design By U reserves the right to refuse sales or cancel orders placed by a customer in violation of the site’s terms or as otherwise determined by Design By U.
- All orders will be processed and shipped within 2 business days (excluding weekends & holidays) after receiving payment via Paypal/Shopify Payments/Major CC, regardless of shipping method. Selecting overnight shipping does not ensure you will receive it the next day, rather overnight from when it is shipped, which will be no later than 3 business days.
- Next day or overnight shipping cutoff is 1 PM PST, Mon-Fri—We do our best to ship any and all overnight or express orders the same day they are received, as long as the order is placed before 1 PM PST, Mon-Fri. If you need your order tomorrow, please make sure you order before our shipping cutoff time to ensure delivery.
- Accurate shipping and delivery information is required to ensure timely receipt of merchandise.
- Please note that orders will be particularly delayed during the launch of a new collection, restock of sold out items, and/or during sale periods.
- DBU does not deliver to hotels.
U.S Shipping
- We offer free shipping on all domestic orders over $50.
- We ship through USPS, UPS, and DHL if needed.
- You will be notified of any delays in shipping. Please note, that delays may arise during national holidays.
- You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
- If you are shipping an item over $50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
- Receipt of returned merchandise is not guaranteed.
- Please note that returns/exchanges can only be made via mail. Our facility will only receive items that are delivered through courier services such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and/or DHL.
International
- Your shipping times depend on the shipping carrier and option you choose at checkout.
- We are unable to track packages in certain international territories.
- We are unable to redirect orders once they have shipped.
- DBU is not responsible for customs duties and taxes applied in the country of delivery.
2. SHIPPING
Domestic shipping in the U.S. (excluding Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico) is complimentary for orders above $100. Overnight and 2nd day shipping are available for an additional fee. Orders may not be shipped to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We ship internationally for an additional fee. Design By U is not responsible for the payment of any duties, taxes or other fees assessed to international shipments and Design By U is not responsible for any delays or other issues that may arise when shipping internationally. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking number. All orders over $500 require a signature upon delivery. Please make sure you are available to sign for your order when it is delivered, as you are solely responsible for the acceptance of your order upon delivery. Design By U is not responsible for any lost packages, delayed delivery, or any other issues once your order leaves Design By U. If your order is sent back to Design By U by the shipping company for failure to deliver, you will be required to pay for the re-shipment of your order. Design By U does not accept shipping accounts provided by the customer.
3. PAYMENT OPTIONS
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express via PayPal. We do not accept Discover cards, checks or money orders. Full payment is due before any order is processed and produced.
4. CUSTOMIZATIONS
Send us an email for any customizations wanted and we will see if we can fulfill your order.
5. RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY:
All sales are final. Certain styles may be exchanged in Design By U discretion within 7 days of purchase. You are responsible for all shipping costs for returns and exchanges. If you purchased a Design By U piece of jewelry from an outside retailer and would like to exchange or return it, you must bring the piece to the original retailer where the item was purchased. We are not responsible for any jewelry not purchased directly from Design By U
6. REPAIRS
Design By U products are individually handcrafted, and our brass jewelry is plated, we are not able to repair them. However, we kindly ask that you bring any issue experienced within 7 days of purchase to our attention. Should there be a problem with your jewelry, we are happy to exchange this item or extend a credit to you for the value of your piece.
